How You Can Help The Task Force’s Efforts To Foster Respect & Inclusion In Our Community

• Learn about issues concerning race relations and diversity in the metropolitan area by attending the monthly Task Force meetings. Everyone is welcome.
  Each month the Task Force meeting includes a program to explore issues of current interest or increase aware of race relations and diversity activities in our area. Programs are held the third week of most months, August to June, from 8:00 – 9:30 AM at The Community House, 380 South Bates Street, Birmingham, MI, 48009.



• Encourage your organization to become an endorsing organization of the Task Force. Volunteer to represent your organization on the Task Force and network with other community members from school, civic, business, religious, educational and public organizations in our area at our monthly meetings
.

• Attend the Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration sponsored by the Task Force to celebrate our national holiday
.


• Nominate a Diversity Champion from your organization for community recognition.
  Each spring the Task Force recognizes Diversity Champions, individuals who have made a special contribution to their organization through his/her support of racial, ethnic, religious, or other diversity and the ideals of inclusion.



• Volunteer to help with Task Force events and activities.
