How Safe Are Our Freedoms
September 13, 8:00 a.m.
Are our constitutional rights more or less safe after last year’s, 09-10, Supreme Court’s (US & Michigan) decisions? An expert will share their thoughts.

Do The Kids Have It Right
September 28, 7:00 p.m.
What do High School students think about civil rights? Area high school students will share their thoughts with the Task Force and guests.

Can We Work Together
October 21, 7:00 p.m.
With all the different needs and interests of the diverse communities that make up the greater Detroit area can consensus be reach on anything? A panel of community leaders will try to identify those areas of joint interests.

The Music of the Diversity

Several local musical groups will perform music from their culture.

A thought-provoking, provocative play dealing with racism, bi-racial identity, discrimination, anti-racism, abandonment and other issues of contemporary society and universal, time transcending themes.

Presented in three acts alternating ensemble scenes and character monologues, "mixed" begins each act with a scene depicting three generations of African American women in the post Civil War South as they unveil their stories and secrets before the audience.
