The Task Force seeks to advance its mission and goals through education, advocacy and response.

Education
• The Task Force’s monthly meetings provide a forum for discussion of important issues.
• Our annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration is a signature event, featuring a keynote speaker and break-out sessions.
• Evening group sessions are held periodically.
• Diversity training events are held in connection with the Task Force’s mission and goals.
Advocacy
• We provide community recognition of individual members of area organizations who have worked to support diversity and the ideals of inclusion through our annual Diversity Champion Honor Roll Recognition Event.
• Our Policy to Practice initiative encourages area organizations and businesses to adopt and implement express written diversity policies.
Response
• The Task Force acts as a community voice to address incidents of racism and discrimination. Please see the Requesting Assistance page.
• The Task Force convenes public forums in times of crisis affecting our mission and goals.
